Daviess County Health Dept. still has flu vaccine available for children six months of age and up.

This year the health department has "Flu-Mist," which is a live nasal vaccine available to healthy children two through 18 years of age. Nasal spray means no shot, just a squirt up each nostril and it’s done. Flu shots are available on public health day, which is every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or call for an appointment at 660-663-2414.

The health department will be closed on the following dates and times: Dec. 19 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for training; Dec. 24 from noon to 4:30 p.m.; all day Dec. 25 and 26; and Jan. 1, 2009.
