2008 Gallatin High School Scholarships & Awards Leading the class of 2008 in graduation ceremonies held May 11 at the Gallatin school were valedictorian Cody Selby, son of Kurt and Tina Esbeck, and salutatorian Kathryn Everly, daughter of Mark and Ann Everly.

Gallatin minister earns doctorate
This Saturday at 10 a.m. the Rev. Spencer Ray of Gallatin First Baptist Church will be graduating from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree. The Ray family will host a cake and punch reception Sun- day, May 18, in the church fellowship hall from 2-5 p.m.

Aldermen consider water rate increase
An ordinance amending the city code, adjusting the water rates for the city of Gallatin received a first reading during the regular meeting of the Gallatin Board of Aldermen held Monday, May 12 A second reading will be heard at the next meeting.

Savannah Cox, Casey Alden selected to attend Missouri Agribusiness Academy Gov. Matt Blunt announced recently that 30 high school sophomores from across Missouri, including Savannah Cox of Jamesport and Casey Alden of Gallatin, have been selected to participate in the 21st class of the Missouri Agribusiness Academy, a career-building program offered by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
